An effective program for gifted and talented students is one that appropriately identifies gifted students, caters for their unique needs and offers challenge in all areas of their schooling. This resource is designed to help schools identify their strengths and areas needing improvement, in order to review current practice, implement positive, evidence-based and constructive change, and measure progress over time.  The tool asks staff to reflect to reflect on whole-school practice in the areas of policy, strategic planning, identification, pedagogy, support structures, special programs, community engagement and culture.
