Leading Differentiation (1 DAY COURSE)

  • Penrhos College 6 Morrison St Como WA 6152 Australia (map)

The art of recognising, articulating and valuing differentiated practice.

In order to effectively promote and lead differentiation, school leaders need to have a clear understanding of differentiation and what it looks like in practice. They also need to ensure that pedagogical, administrative and logistical barriers to differentiated practice are addressed. This is a specialist course for teachers, coordinators and school leaders who have either completed the Growing Up Greatness three-day course Differentiation — The art and science of becoming a flexible and effective teacher of all students, or who have an expert-level understanding of differentiated practice.

This course is designed to take your knowledge further with a focus on reviewing and implementing school-wide practice to cater for the full range of student abilities, develop teachers into quality practitioners who can differentiate in all areas of their teaching, and articulate to parents how they cater for different students. This course will be a combination of theory and practical planning, and course objectives can be viewed via this link. Participants are encouraged to examine existing differentiated practice and barriers to implementation before the course, and are welcome to bring examples of policy or practice to share or seek critical feedback.
